Great way to stay organized!
This bag is well made, with plenty of room for all your emergency needs. It's got a spot for your EPIRB, and room for your first aid kit, flare gun, hand held VHF etc. Hopefully I will never have to use it to ditch.

It does float.
A ditch bag for our liveaboard. Bigger than I expected and able to handle everything we want in it. Nice construction and it does float(tested without contents).

really nice bag. i use this on my flats boat ...
really nice bag. i use this on my flats boat and have packed all my important papers and safety gear in it. Now if i have to use, all gear is in one place instead of my usual 4 compartments on boat. even my boat paperwork is in there just in case marine police pull me over for inspection. Everything in one location, no searching.

OEM can’t get the EPIRB pocket size correct (face palm)
Pricey. Pocket doesn’t hold a globalfix v6 well. Too tight to insert all the way in which is disappointing since the OEM should know the correct size to make the EPIRB pocket. Only keeping this because my old ditch bag was falling apart.

Best used in Conjunction with a good Watertight Garbage Bag
It takes a lot of nerve for a company with a high profile in the Marine Survival Business like ACR to use their name to market a substandard product like this. To be more correct, I know of no standards for Ditch Bags and this one sets the bar rather low. My peeves with this product are that it leaks. Or more properly its not water proof. The nylon quick disconnects and straps have a cheap feel. The product is a cool idea and it looks cool. I bought it as much for the coolness of the look and the need to have certain survival gear in one place, but was rather dismayed to learn today that it is not waterproof. ACR was too cheap to seal the seams and even if they had sealed the seams, I question whether the nylon from which this bag is constructed is waterproof. This bag is like the kind of tee-shirts that companies are fond of marketing. Invariably overpriced and not necessarily related to the product line. This bag is related to the product line but not in terms of quality. I suggest storing this product in a good garbage bag. That will probably prevent the contents from getting soaked before the bag is needed but wont look cool. And the bag might be mistaken for garbage, which the contents would not be, and thrown out or it might be hard to find in an emergency. The type of garbage bag I recommend in which to keep this product would be a Hefty contractor's storage bag 3 mil. A clear trash bag if one could be located would be better because the contents could be seen. This bag makes me have less confidence in my other ACR survival products and I will be reluctant to buy ACR again. Their are not a lot of ditch bags on the market to my knowledge. This one shows a need. I suggest if you need one you consider using a high quality bag from a purveyor of kayaking type equipment. There are many good bags on the market that are functional durable and waterproof and of high quality at reasonable prices. This bag is of the quality one would expect of a nice looking backpack at an upscale flea market. If you go to a boat show where ACR has a booth tell them about this product. I will.
