Amazon flagged this item for its high return rate. I took time to read some of the reviews and decided to make the purchase.I am very happy with this binder machine. Out did not have instructions so I had to look up a you tube video. Once I figured out out, it was very easy to use and works perfectly for my needs. I learned that only about 8 pages at a time can be cut, else the machine will jam. I had 70-page books to create, so it was slow going. The features were not explained so I had to learn how to along the paper for good, even hole punches. Made several hole punch errors before i got the hang of it. So practice on blank paper several times before working your project.Just take your time and the machine does a terrific job.I recommend this product for your smaller binder book projects.

This was exceptional value compared to others out there. It is very easy to use, although, I had to watch a u-tube video to figure out how it works as this was the first time binding and there were no instructions in the box. This is a fun way to make workbooks for school groups, projects, conventions etc. I have only one complaint. One of the teeth does not punch through the plastic cover completely requiring that I use scissors to cut it off, that's why I gave the 4 rating, but not worth the hassle of returning it. I will use this over and over again.

This works well for occasional jobs, but the construction materials aren't robust enough for heavy usage in a busy office. The instructions state that one can punch 8-12 sheets (20 lb) at once. I am using 24 lb paper, and only punch 5-8 at once. I can get the machine to punch more, but it struggles and the handle flexes if the machine is overloaded. An average man could probably break the machine by overloading with paper. If you need an economical option for occasional comb binding, this machine would be a good choice.
