Error Free LED License Plate Light Lamp Assembly Replacement For F150 F-250 F-350 F-450 F-550 Superduty Ranger Explorer Bronco Excursion Expedition, White LED Lights

The OEM puddle lights on my 2017 Ford Expedition EL Limited were so yellow and dim that the light didn't seem to reach the ground. Honestly, we didn't even know they were there at first.The old lights pop out easily, just check for a video online if you need help.The OEM lights have tabs on them that the two wires coming from the mirror are connected to. There is a red wire and a black wire. On these new lights, there is are red and black wires with flat connectors match the old OEM light's connectors. After making the connection, red to red, black to black, the connector tabs are exposed and can touch either grounding out the LED. I recommend at least putting some electrical tape on them.In my installation I first used some bulb grease on the connectors. Next I took a pair of pliers and gently squeezed the tabs down on the wires coming out of the mirror so that the LED connectors would fit firmly. I slid a 1-inch piece of shrink tubing over the wires before making the connections (instead of electrical tape) and then used a heat gun to seal the shrink tube (a small lighter will work just as well). This made a nice moisture tight connection and protected the wires from shorting.Once wired up, the lights popped back in easily and were a perfect fit! The light output is amazing. The entire side of the vehicle is lit up. See the attached photo. There are no external house lights on, nor did I use a flash on my camera.Now, time will tell how well these LEDs hold up.UPDTED (2/23/2020): Bought a second set for a 2017 Ford Fusion Sport. They fit perfectly and look just as bright.

I purchased these license plate lights to get some enhanced lighting on my rear license plate. They arrived in 2 days with Prime shipping. They were packaged to prevent damage. The first thing I noticed is how incredibly limited and weak the instructions were. They didn't even seem to be for the item I ordered. So I knew I was on my own at that point. I headed to You Tube and found numerous videos detailing on how to remove the old ones and install the new replacements. After installing them, it seemed that they were now interfering with my Putco taillight bar. But that issue seemed to disappear after a couple of engine on and off cycles. Then they were working perfectly. I can confirm what many other reviews have stated - these things are very bright! But I really like the idea of making it possible for motorists following me to know exactly what is in front of them. I think it gives them a more clear picture and that makes me believe I am safer in the end. And they just look really cool. It was a good $26 purchase.

One of my Puddle Lights under one of my mirrors on my pickup truck quit working. I was going to replace the bulb but soon learned they were a sealed unit and it was much easier to replace the whole light unit. I found these LED lights on your website and they were completely affordable. I figured that I would try them.They came in two or three days. The wires on the new LED lights were terminated with 'male' connectors and the factory wiring had the 'female' connectors. So hooking them up took very little time. What took longest was putting Heat Shrink Tubing over the connections and heating it up to shrink it to keep them from touching. So you know this project didn't take long. I had both new LED lights in place and tools put away in about 10 - 15 minutes. These new LED Lights are SO much brighter than my original ones ever were. They come ON bright and fade to OFF just like the factory lights did. I am a happy camper!!! Great buy!! THANK YOU!!

After removing the factory rear license plate light assembly and disconnecting the wire clip, this LED license plate assembly is easily snaps into the wire clip and then snaps into the hole on the bumper. It fits snug and is very bright. Highly recommend.Also, it is easier to pop loose the original light assembly from the outside; it is hard to pry it loose from underneath.

I bought these form my 2013 Ford Fusion Titanium. The drivers side went in flawlessly. The passenger side? Not so much. The led light housing was to big. I'd say about a 1/4". I filed it down but now it flickers. Sometimes it doesn't even come on. It works most of the time tho. I am going to try and exchange them. I'll update later.

Got these to avoid ever having a burned out light again.First thing I noticed, these are actually too bright. Especially with a chrome bumper, they are actually too bright for people behind you. My buddy followed me on a trip and was not happy about them.One of them is already dying after a month or two. It lights up but isn’t bright enough to even be seen without looking directly at it.

These led license plate lights fit my 2005 Ford excursion perfectly. After reading some reviews some people had flickering problems. Once you see how it's designed to plug into the factory bulb socket and not into the wiring you understand why some had problems. Since it gets wet under the truck I decided to hot glue the wire in the lights and around the socket to prevent water from entering. I will review again in 6 months on longevity.

Tried another brand to save a few dollars and they looked like crap - see the :( photo compared to the :) bulb and then two shots of the ROCCS brand that are almost cool white and throw off a lot more light!I had to file down the outside hump on the top of the unit to make it fit my 2016 Ford Fusion. Added shrink tubing, connected, tested, shrunk the tubing and I was done!
