I’ve been looking for something simple and reasonably priced that both stores and cuts washi. Finally something that fits the bill. I like the small footprint. It holds lots of tape with a small footprint. I just rotate some of my collection in/out when the mood strikes me. It’s a pretty basic looking wood holder, but that suits me just fine. Less plastic = awesomeness.

I saw some hinky reviews on this washi tape dispenser, but I said to myself, “Self, this dispenser looks perfect for holding several washi tapes and it appears it would be a great dispenser and cut tape easily with that metal cutting edge.” Turns out I was right. This dispenser is boss! I’ve got 13 washi tapes on it comfortably, with room to spare, and 1 roll of masking tape just for fun. The dowels are snug and not ready to spill tape everywhere should you up end it a bit. The ad image doesn’t do it justice; it’s BIG and very attractive and kinda old-school. I literally can’t find one thing I’d change about this dispenser. It’s perfect! From seeking washi tape solutions, I saw so many overpriced, ridiculous devices that offered storage and/or dispensing of washi tape. One is like a “Lazy Susan” and if you buy a stick to go in the middle, you can purchase more “Lazy Susans” to stack one on top of the other until you have a “Washi Monument” on your desk, in which case you shouldn’t have a desk because you haven’t grown up yet. Those “Lazy Susan” dispensers are 18. too. Who buys several to stack for their washi tape collection? Not me, I can quit whenever I want to. Nope, this dispenser is a little slice of heaven and you won’t look like you have a washi tape problem anymore. They’re all wrangled and orderly, these absurdly tiny rolls of tape. I’m thrilled. Over the moon. My husband even noticed, he said, “Honey, that new washi tape dispenser makes you look like you’re smart, like a Librarian or something!” So there you have it. Look smart, even though you use washi tape. Get this dispenser and start living your best life today.

Absolutely love this dispenser for my washi tape! It cuts nicely, and is very sturdy. I have all different widths and quality, and the blades have no problem cutting through even my really cheap plastic based washi tape. It’s a nice solid wood as well, which makes a great base for painting and personalizing. I’ll definitely be ordering a second one, as it only holds about half of the washi I own!

Great holder, but I use it in my classroom and the students have a hard time keeping the dowels in, I have a friend who is going to place a piece of wood over the dowels so hopefully they stay in better and then I can twist it and add more tape when I’m out.

Small, not what was expected. Returned.

Smaller than expected. The blades are REALLY sharp. I would not recommend for children. Would be a better device for those small duck tape rolls that don't rip or cut as easily as washi.

It's very sturdy and well. I've seen more expensive one that weren't made as well as this one. So glad I bought.
